What we collect
When you sign up to get matched: your trade, level, licenses, years in, what your last travel job paid, where you'll travel, when you're available, your first name, cell number and, if you give it, your email.
When a company requests applicants: the company name, contact name, phone, email and details about the job.
Like most sites, we also see basic visit data such as pages viewed and the ad or link that sent you here.
Who sees your profile
Only if you check the box to share it, we send your profile to contractors and staffing agencies hiring for travel work that fits you. They may call or text you about those jobs. We don't sell your info to marketers or list your name or number on the site.
Pay numbers
If you check the box to add your pay to the report, we use your rate, per diem, hours, trade and state in the published numbers with your name and contact info removed.
Postings data
The pay figures on this site come from public job postings, with company names removed, plus anonymous worker reports. Posted pay isn't a promise from anyone. Get the rate and per diem in writing before you take a job.
Getting off the list
Reply STOP to any text from us, or email hello@whatsthecheck.com and ask us to delete your info. We'll remove it from our list and stop sending your profile to anyone.
Where it's stored
Your info is stored in private cloud storage that only What’s the Check can access.
